This is a very tricked out Sportster. It has all the chrome goodies, including chrome swing arm, chrome oil tank, chrome rockers and chrome engine side covers. On the front, theres a twisted spoke 19" front wheel, and Ness front fender. Those apes are 12 inches high, on 4" risers. We painted the SportBob tank candy brandywine, then laid down some airbrushed custom 3D graphics. The 883 engine is punched out to 1200cc, and was ported and flowed by R&R Cycles. |
| This '87 Sporty gets down the road on its original 883 mill. Engine upgrades include a Dyna ignition, S&S carb, Andrews V4 cam, and Taper-lite pushrods. But the real story here is the well thought out appearance. Up front, there's a V-Twin Twisted Spoke 19" front wheel, under a Ness front fender. The handlebar controls are Custom Chrome, and the mirrors are Ness. A 3.5 gallon SportBob and Bobtail rear fender round out the sheet metal. The rear fender structs were machined by Norman Hamel. The forward controls are Custom Chrome. The 4-color paint scheme covers all the sheet metal, including the headlight bucket. The 4-color paint also extends to the engine, using KingStar's own special engine painting process. Look closely to check out the gold-painted fin edges on the heads. This bike's been on the road like this for a few years now, and it still looks great. | ![]() |

This Sporty starts with an Atlas Wide Glide Softtail for Sportsters frame. The thing here is Atlas makes these frames for Evo Sportster engines, so we had to do some custom engine mounts to get this Ironhead Sporster engine to fit correctly. Atlas makes this frame to accept stock Harley Softtail tanks and fenders, and a Harley 5 gallon flatside tank is what you see here. The rear fender is fiberglass aftermarket for a Softtail, and the whole thing is painted bright red. Hey, we do 'em the way the customer wants 'em! The front end is a Wide Glide with dual disks, all controlled with 16" ape hangers. The front wheel is 21" laced, and there's a Rev Tech solid mag on the rear. The Ironhead engine is sporting a custom-made exhaust, and when you're sitting on the LaPera seat, it sounds pretty good. |
